2019 Emerging Artist Grant

The Emerging Artist Grant is a $750 award intended to support those early in their artistic careers, regardless of age, when this kind of support would be most impactful. An IEA Emerging Artist demonstrates potential in their practice, works in a dynamic and exciting way, yet is seeking ways to enhance and strengthen their art practice. Applicants must be IEA members in good standing who are motivated to increase their knowledge and skills and push their art careers forward.

This year we are pleased to announce we will be awarding grants to two IEA members. Funds from the Emerging Artist Grant may be applied to tuition, travel expenses (i.e. travel to attend a workshop), art supplies, and art publications. The award may be applied to a college level course, an artist’s workshop, or other professional development (i.e. professional art career coaching and/or consultation) deemed qualified by the IEA Emerging Artist Grant committee.

Within the grant year each recipient must submit a one-page written report with five supporting images, must maintain IEA membership in the year following the grant year, and agree to IEA publishing the report and images in IEA digital publications.

THE DEADLINE FOR 2019 is March 31, 2019
